A Conversation between travelers on shopping trip to London
Bobo, Zyrence, John and Danny visited us one day and below are what we talked about our London shopping trip experience in that lazy afternoon. The whole conversation was in Chinese so I need to translate it to English with my limited English level and writing skill. Oops!

Cecil:”Come on guy! Let’s taste and tell me what you think about my latest tea collection.”
John:”This must be Earl Grey, your favorite. “”You bet it is.”
Danny:”Wow! In such a beautifully crafted tea pot! You have the full high tea set from London, haven’t you?”
C:”Almost, except the tea spoons which I bought here haha. The Harrods was on Winter sales the other day and guess what, I grabbed them in no time!”
Bobo:”It must be quite heavy to bring them all back by flight!”
C:”Luckily I bought extra weight for my luggage in advance. ”
Zyrence:”Absolutely understandable. Shopping trip to London always made my luggage overweighted, especially during Summer and Winter sales! I still remembered how irresistible was it shopping in London last year which really burnt a big hole in my pockets when I needed to purchase extra baggage weight in airport! Haha..”
B:”If only we bring along children with extra luggage space, we need to buy more baggage weight in advance for London trip.”
C:”So, what you guys have bought last Winter in London?”
Z:”Burberry definitely! Made in England!”
D:”lucky you Zyrence. Unfortunately I needed to get a rain check this round. Works were up to my throat last couple of months.”
B:”I stayed in Marble Arch during Christmas. You know what, I went shopping in Oxford Street every day! I love shopping in London. Imagine how I spent my day doing shopping in Oxford Circus, then had my Fish and Chips dinner in Covent Garden and did pub crawling in Soho at night! Unbeatable experience!”
Z:”Or you can have a “All-You-Can-Eat” Chinese buffet dinner in China Town, Leicester Square and catch an opera show after that! Equally appealing!”
C:”Did you go to Radley? They had lots of good stuffs!”
B:”Off course! It is my favorite brand. I went to the Harrods as well but didn’t get anything except having a great high tea session in their Food Hall. ”
C:”Hey, I went there also. Which day were you there? Don’t tell me it was on Christmas Eve!”
B:”Supposed to be but hotels room were all booked out so we had to leave earlier. ”
C:”Why didn’t you book through the Hotelscombined website? They have plenty of options. I booked mine with them always.”
B:”You should have told me earlier…”
D:”Where should we stay if we were for shopping in London?”
C:”Marble Arch is a good choice. I would prefer Piccadilly, Regent street or Oxford Street itself. ”
Z:”I love Paddington area where I can pop by Hardrock and Hyde Park. The hotels price there are more affordable.”
C:”You are right, Zyrence. I stayed around there too during the Olympic Games last Summer. Having fun listening to my favorite rock stars singing in Hyde Park. It is also one of the venue for the Summer Games!”
D:”Two year back I stayed in Waterloo. Though Charing Cross and Leicester Square are across the Thames River, accommodation there are far more affordable. And I can enjoy the magnificent views of London Eyes and Big Ben. If you take the One Day Card then taking underground or bus to Oxford Street is just a piece of cake.”
C:”This is the best part of a shopping trip to London. While being able to grab your favorite brands at cheaper price, we could also enjoy the views and attractions of this city. For wise travelers like us, don’t forget to claim back the VAT before you leave London. Haha.”
J:”With the VAT deduction for travelers, London is truly a paradise for shoppers looking for discounted designers’ wears.”
C:”Don’t just stay in London Central Westminster area, take an underground up to Camden Market and there are plenty of things to see and buy too!”
C:”After all, for us budget travelers, the best thing in London is their safety where we can shop and buy lots of stuffs and put them all in our B&B without worrying of being robbed or valuables being stolen!”
Z:”Absolutely agree with you Cecil!”
D:”Fantastic! Haha”
B:”Two thumbs up!”
J:”Three for me! Haha..”
My dining room was full of laughter after that…
