Travel Tips Of The Week – Sport Shoes For Travel Please!
The last time I had a dedicated post summarising some travel tips was back in a year ago! Oops! Sorry! I was too lazy to summarise them after then. 🙁 You may still read it in my post – Top Travel Tips Of The Month. Though you still be able to get all my travel tips featured but scattered in all my previous posts but without anymore dedicated post to summarise all of them, which is a shame (I will do it again, someday… please watch out!)
For the sake of those travelers who need travel tips, I decided to write out my travel tips, whenver I found something from my travel experience, without anymore delay, in a separate post, like this one!
This is the thing that all travelers should have known by now. However, I’m still seeing lots of people wearing all sorts of shoes on their travel. Especially those sexy lovely ladies where they still seem to love their high heel shoes and leather boots. I wish to emphasize this again: Leave all your beautiful celebrity high heel shoes or boots at home. Wear them for all parties, dinner, dating or clubbing only! For occasion where you need to walk all day, viz. shopping or travelling, WEAR ONLY YOUR SPORT SHOES! OR JOGGING SHOES!
Travel is a hobby or activity where you could only enjoy and appreciate fully when you walk. The more walking you do, the more things you could see, slowly and clearly. Off course I’m not crazy enough to ask you to walk from a city to another, like from Gold Coast to Sydney! (Though there are still people doing this, especially those enthusiastic nomad travellers!) To appreciate the whole aspect of a city, you have to walk; To find some local foods to try, you have to walk; To go up to hilltop to admire sunset or sunrise, you have to walk, too!
Very clearly, you have to wear shoes which are comfortable and easy to walk around without feeling pain after a while. Or at least it can reduce the pain to the minimum because after a whole day long walking, you will still feel tired. The answer to this is no doubt a pair of good quality sports or jogging shoes! A good pair of sport shoes can ease you from painful legs which in the other way could spare you more time and energy to walk more! The more you walk, the more things you see in your travel!
I have been wearing sport shoes since my Europe tour more than 10 years ago and yet to give me any problem during my travel. So, what are you wearing on your vacation travel? – Travel Feeder.
From my observation, there are those who are aptly dressed for travelling (walking or sport shoes with casual clothing and backpack) and then there are those who are dressed like they’re going out for a day at the mall, shopping or hanging out in cafes etc (face made up and toting expensive handbags)
I don’t understand why some people wear heels and are dressed to the nines when they need to board flights and go sightseeing.
My most important travel tip is wear good walking shoes that will take you through the rough and tough of travelling. I liked my pair of crocs which is really comfy.
- September 25, 2009Exactly. And make them of a dark colour so they can be used for going to places that are slightly better without much issue. People seem to carry the most inappropriate things when travelling thinking they’ll wear things they probably almost never wear at home.
- September 30, 2009.-= Mark H´s last blog ..The Icelandic Phonebook Surprise =-.
>Mark H,
- September 30, 2009Great idea Mark! .I’ll wear a pair of dark coloured sport shoes so clubbing or exclusive dining wouldn’t be an issue also. 🙂
I agree with you this and i never find this article on internet.
- October 31, 2009I like it. thanks…
