Top Tips for Vaping on Travels
Although most of us think of vaping as something normal, if you are planning a trip abroad, you will see that that is not always the case. Before even thinking of bringing your vape device on your travels, there are several things to pay attention to. Luckily, using this simple guide, you can plan out your next vacation in full detail, and spare yourself from any possible inconveniences.
Cleaning your vape device
Of course, before packing up and hitting the airport just yet, you should clean your vape device. Your Veppocig can be cleaned in a matter of minutes, as the only thing you have to do is rinse the mouthpiece and the tank in warm water. Once you are done with that, simply wipe them with a paper towel and let them air dry for about 10 minutes, while you pack up your other stuff.
If you haven’t cleaned the tank in quite some time now, you can easily clean the leftover vape juice using alcohol. Alcohol works like a charm when it comes to cleaning vape juice, and once you are done with this step, you can then rinse the tank in water. As far as coils go, the best thing to do is to bring a new one on your vacation, and you will be good for about a week or two.
One of the most important things to do when it comes to packing your vape device is to put all of its components into a plastic see-through bag and make sure not to forget your charger. This will make things that much easier while going through customs because you will be able to easily take it out of your carry-on luggage during your checkup. This is another thing to keep in mind — your vape device must always be in your carry-on.
Boarding with your vape device
As far as boarding goes, you should have no problems regarding your vape device as long as it is in a see-through bag and in your carry-on luggage. The Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) prohibits the transport of vape devices in checked bags, so make sure to follow the rules!
When it comes to U.S. airlines, as a rule, they will allow you to bring up to 3.4-ounces of vape juice. However, the same does not go for every airline you may be flying with, so make sure to check out your airline’s liquid limit before getting to the airport. And of course, if you are changing flights, make sure to respect the policies of each airline.
Airports’ different policies
As you already know, you cannot vape during your flight. However, there are some airports that allow smoking in designated areas. Some of these airports are in:
- Athens
- Auckland
- Barcelona
- Budapest
- Cairo
- Cancun
- Chennai
- Dulles
- Florence
- Frankfurt
- Heathrow
- Lisbon
- Madrid
- Milan
- Marrakesh
- Vegas (McCarran)
- Melbourne
- Miami
- Nice
- Mallorca
- Tampa
- Toronto
- Vienna
- Warsaw
Although this list is quite recent (as of May 2018), you should always check out your airport’s smoking policy, just to be on the safe side.
Of course, there is a number of airports where vaping is illegal and can be seriously punished. This is why researching your airport’s policies is a must before even thinking of vaping! And as you probably already know, there are countries worldwide where just the mere act of vaping in public can end up with you paying fines of up to $5,000, or even being imprisoned!
Although all this sounds quite scary and will make you want to bring your nicotine patches instead, vaping on travels is quite easy if you are travel prepared. So, do your research and you’ll be good to go! – Travel Feeder
