Pilgrimage Travel Is A Trip Of The Ages For Christian
An entire plethora of stories and memories that may have changed a person’s life can be had from a single trip abroad. When the natural human desire for exploration is combined with the awesome power of God, the result is a trip for the ages. For any believer in a higher power, once that person is able, their trip of the ages must be taken at least once in their lives.
Christian pilgrimage travel
A Christian pilgrimage travel must be taken with great caution due to the volatility of the Middle East. Since this is where Christ grew up and performed His famous miracles, many of the Holiest Shrines from the Christian faith will be in the middle of sporadic but intense armed conflict. Notably, the Bible did speak of wars and rumors of wars, therefore, all believers will simply have to be prepared for opposition and act accordingly even if it means a delay to some sites.
The Reason for Travel
The basis for every action in Christianity throughout a believer’s entire life should be to honor God and to honor Him instinctively. Honoring Him is the main reason for deciding to take the perilous journey. But thankfully there are other benefits that can be derived by choosing to serve Him with time, effort and money. Some trips can be used as a penance for serious sin, some can be used when seeking special favors or blessings in this life, others can allow a person to come into the Truth of God and in many historical cases, trips can be used to fight for lost territory or defend the Holy Land.
How Can A Man Be Born Again?
John 3 verses 1-21 brought up a very key discussion point; “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” The obvious answer here is no, medically that is not possible. Thankfully, the answer Jesus gave made the way to life obvious. “Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
Simply traveling to a Holy site as a tourist is a good act and deserving of merit. Traveling with the expressed aim of getting closer and having a personal relationship with God, while stepping out on faith expecting Him to make His way clear to you, is a part of reserving riches in Heaven via good work on Earth. This daily practice of faith- based actions will eventually develop into a major lifestyle practice ensuring He is ever present.
Sea Based Travel Alternatives
If traveling by land is not particularly attractive, there are many companies which offer Christian- themed cruises. The basis is really simple; experience the Holy sites, experience the full weight of Christian art and other customs in one simple package.
