Bird’s Eye View of Treviso, the gateway to Venice
Aerial photography is another type of travel photography where photos are being taken from elevated position, such as city view from top of tower, or in this case, city view from side windows of an airplane. Sometimes it is also called as Bird’s Eye photography. I love shooting out from my air carrier. The view from above the sky is fabulous and it would be the first excitement I got from my travel to that travel destination.
Below are a few aerial photos taken on my Transavia flight to Venice last year. It was a sunny day and I could clearly see the city of Treviso below me. I love the farmlands, the greenery, the rivers and those villages. Treviso is the gateway to Venice where most budget flights will land in the Treviso airport and travelers will need to take a 30 minutes coach ride to Venice Island.
Only from the airplane we can see such a bird’s eye view of a city. With an ultra wide angle lens (in this case I used the Tamron SP10-24mm), you can even capture the sphericity of our lovely earth!
What we normally see from airplanes would be these farmlands in rural areas of a city as it is how the flight route is normally planned.
What a lovely city of Treviso, Italy!
This also marked the beginning of my Italy travel last year after spending the previous week in London, Paris and Amsterdam. My Italy and Venice travelogue would come in after this.
