Another 3 Exciting Destinations added to my Year 2011 Travel Wish List
I have my travel wish list written up earlier this month. But now I’m adding 3 more destinations into it. Not because there are still empty spaces to fill up or I had more dreamy night’s sleep recently. It is because our world is changing more rapidly in the recent years. Weather is changing with more and more snows pouring down, and our environment is changing with lesser and lesser trees growing up. Many countries experienced the coldest winter in century, wild animal ethnic groups died silently without symptoms, and unknown new viruses took away thousands of lives each year. Our world is sick, and it is getting sicker!
So why should I wait to wish more? Our World Heritage sites might be damaged one day by natural disasters. I wish I could travel more this year and decided to add 3 more destinations to this year travel wish list and really hope that I could visit all these 5 exciting destinations this Year 2011. Apart from Eastern Europe and Chinese Beijing where I can see huge numbers of World Heritage sites, here are the other 3 exciting destinations that I think any avid traveler should plan for a visit:
- New Zealand. There are few countries on this earth are as diverse, unspoiled and utterly photogenic. New Zealand’s natural splendour with gorgeous landscapes are simply spectacular. Famous for its kiwifruits, Maori’s culture, rugby teams, dairy products, world class cuisine, NZ is also the home to various adventurous outdoor activities. Bungy jumping, skydiving, gliding and fly-wire are some of those sports invented here. The paradise of the Pacific Ocean, New Zealand is widely regarded as one of the best travel destination. New Zealand package holidays is my travel wish to come true this year!
- Bangkok, Thailand. While New Zealand claims to be the heaven for outdoor adventure, Bangkok should crown itself as the heaven for indoor shopping! Famous for its cheap shopping experience, this thoroughly modern metropolis has succeeded in preserving its traditional Oriental splendour. Bangkok is still a city of temples, with ‘Wat’ and palaces, of golden spires and orange tiered roofs, of saffron robed monks and serene Buddha images being found everywhere. But it’s not all, energetic young travelers like also their vibrant nightlife with steamy hot ladyboys in actions! Though politically unstable in recent years, the safety of tourists still remain as the first priority among local people in Bangkok. I hope I could steal a bargain in Bangkok holiday packages for my favourite spicy Tom Yam Kong (spicy soup)
- Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Angkor Wat alone had made me tempting for a visit! Angkor Wat is one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world and was inscribed by UNESCO as World Heritage site in 1992. It was built in 12th century by the king Suryavarman II as his state temple and capital city. It is also the largest religious building. Angkor Wat has clearly demonstrated the glorious Buddhist civilization in ancient world. Make sure to witness this greatest piece of human creation before it being destroyed by the cruel natural disaster, one day, who knows…
