Top Autumn colour photos on my Japan travel
I went to Japan recently to view Autumn colours or koyo in Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka and Mt. Fuji. This is the second time of the year after my Spring visit six months ago to witness some of the best Cherry Blossom scenes in Japan. End of November is the peak Koyo season in central Japan where Kyoto, Tokyo and Osaka demonstrated their respective best Autumn scenes. I captured some of them and just wish to share them here with fellow travelers.

Kiyomizudera temple is one of the top destinations to enjoy the Autumn colours in Kyoto.
Shops showcased special Koyo seasonal products.
Tofukuji temple, another top Autumn colour viewing destination in Southern Kyoto.
Maple red colours was at their peak with fallen leaves carpeted the whole garden.
Gardeners were piling up the fallen leaves.

Visitors were enjoying beautiful Autumn colours on the bridge.
Another magnificent scene of fall colours.
The peak of the Autumn colour season was passed for Kawaguchiko in Fuji Five Lakes region, but we still managed to witnessed quite a few of them and looked marvellous.
This is the late Autumn scenes found in Osaka when we were there on 4th Dec 2012. Autumn foliage had passed their peak but the scene remained attractive to me.

One of the best time to visit Japan is during the Autumn season, especially in mid to late of November where Autumn foliage with wonderful fall colours could be seen in most of the top destinations in Japan, and the weather is still reasonably pleasant, if not too cold. On top of the Autumn colours, beautiful Christmas lightings at night add to its attractiveness. We had the best of both worlds!
The only setback of our late Autumn travel in Japan was the early sunset time at around 4:30pm. We had to wake up and slept much earlier than normal, or else we would not have enough time to visit so many of the tourists spots in Japan during this time. 🙂 – Travel Feeder, the ultimate travel photo blog.
