The Beautiful Alaska for Travel Photographers
Alaska is certainly a travel destination many photographers are dying to visit to. It is the largest but least densely populated states in United States of America. While Alaska is still part of the North America continent, it is being separated from the rest of other 48 USA states by Canada. Because of it geographical location in the Arctic Circle, Alaska offers many photo opportunities that travel photographers can’t find in any other places in this world.
Alaska’s richness in natural properties with thousands of lakes and mountains, beautiful flowers and unique animal species, do provide the best scenes for photography enthusiasts. Among others, the Aurora Borealis light effect at night. Other natural attractions include the midnight sun in Summer, glaciers with wildlife inhabitants, the ancient rainforest in Southeast Alaska and many more.
Apart from its geographic features, Alaska is also a great destination for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, and expeditions to see the wildlife of Alaska like wolves, whales, moose, and bears. After a day long exploration in popular Alaskan cities such as Anchorage, Juneau,or Fairbanks, travel photographers would definitely appreciate a pint or two in one of those English pubs serving beers from the local breweries.
How could we travel to Alaska? The popular ways of access into the state is by air or by sea as highways are limited into the state. Air travel is the cheapest and most efficient form of transportation in and out of the state. Major regional airlines are flying to Alaskan cities such as Anchorage. Otherwise, cruise travel is the next best option for vacationers and travel photographers, like me.
Now you can join various Alaska cruises to explore those exciting features and cities of Alaska. The benefits of cruise travel includes seeing the beautiful Inside Passage Al marine highway, spending more time on sea then in the air, unpack and pack your luggage only once, plenty of entertainment and dining options on board, and off course travel straight to the ports of various Alaskan cities. There are many cruise deals in the market and they normally have vast experience in bringing travel photographers to the best shooting locations and providing precious advices. The most common routes of Alaska cruise is either from Seattle or Vancouver. So you need to fly to either USA or Canada before boarding to Alaskan cruises, if you are from other parts of the world.
I’m still one of those avid travel photographers wishing to travel to Alaska to capture the magnificent Aurora Burealis in one of these days… – Travel Feeder, your ultimate photo travel blog
I love the site, and I am so envious that you get to travel and take pictures. I’m a photographer myself, but I don’t get to stretch my wings nearly as much as I’d like.
Keep up the fantastic blog.
