Let’s go travel and you will never regret
Let’s go travel and you will never regret. I’m not sure why this stuck in my mind recently. Perhaps after listening to radio when a DJ asked about whether people prefer to go travel in somewhere new to them or to revisit countries that they have been to many times. The response was tremendous. Half of them chose the earlier and another half picked the latter. I couldn’t agree more on the result. Both have their own advantages. So let’s talk about them.
I’m always an advocate of budget traveling since I first started this blog. As I mentioned it in my introduction post on this travel blog, “World Is Big, Money Is Small, Let’s Traveling Be Worth Every Penny That We’ve Got!”. That said, how we could make the fullest out of our holiday is the trick. I always fall into the same dilemma when planning my next holiday. I need to decide if I should visit another city that I haven’t been to, or, return to one of my favourite and visited country since I love it so much.
To answer that question, first we need to know why we are travelling. And my question to myself is, why do I love travelling so much?
Do you love travel?
Off course, different people have different objectives of travelling. Some love to explore new places, meet new friends, try authentic local foods, try new hotels, or explore new adventures. While some maybe just feel like escaping from the hustle and bustle of city life to go travel.
Only when we know what we want from our vacation travels, can we make the fullest out of them.
For me, I love to go travel so much because of all the above!
So, sometimes I will travel back to that city and sometimes to a new city.
Travel to new or visited countries
To elaborate further, let me share what we can get from either option.
To travel to new city, we can see new things, meet new friends, try different hotels, do new things that we don’t or can’t have them in our own country. If we are from Asian countries, we certainly love to experience Europe, American or African cultures and people. These will enrich our lives and open up our minds. For travel writers, like me off course, we will gain new experience and new ideas for my travel blog. For businessmen, new things mean new opportunities. For outdoor lovers, new adventures always await you out there.
This is why I love my Europe travel so much.
That said, I also love to return to a visited city at the same time. Hitting the road for a familiar places, we can travel more like a local! This is some kind of feeling that I really addicted and the more I’m able to travel like a local, the more excited I’m going to be. The moment I touch down at airports that I’m familiar, everything come in handy. I can book the same shuttle, transfer to the same city centre, walk to the same hotel, check in and get to the same restaurant or shopping district, eating the same delicious foods, go travel around the city with lines of subways, and hang out at the same pub and drink flat out until late night. All of these are done without needing to take out your smartphone or iPad to search for maps or other local information. What will be more local than this?
One country that encourages me to revisit again and again is off course Japan. This is the only country in the world where no tourists will leave with their tails between legs.
Conclusion
Both travelling to unfamiliar and familiar countries have their own fun. The best decision for me when I plan for my next travel would be choosing one after another option.
Off course,I’ve seen people who love a city or country so much that they go travel only there every year or months. And same goes to certain people who will never revisit countries that they have been to. It doesn’t matter and no right or wrong decision here. It is just their preference. As long as they feel more comfortable and made the fullest out of their holidays than their objectives are achieved.
So let’s go travel again and you will never regret. I’ve never seen anyone who travelled and regretted of doing so later. – Travel Feeder
