Travel snapshot – Nyhavn Waterfront Copenhagen, Denmark
This is a snapshot of Nyhavn Waterfront Copenhagen, Denmark. Nyhavn, or New Harbor waterfront in Copenhagen, is a popular entertainment district lined with 17th century colorful buildings which are now occupied by various cafes, pubs and restaurants. No visit to Copenhagen would complete without having explored Nyhavn in whatever way. It is located along Nyhavn canal connecting the old harbor to the inner part of the city, next to the Kongens Nytorv or the Kings Square.
Denmark is a beautiful country in Northern Europe. And Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark. I still remember how I enjoyed my trip to Copenhagen a couple of years ago, including the visits to Carlsberg City, the Little Mermaid statue and the exhilarating Summer street party called Distortion. The main attraction of Copenhagen is not the architecture or its food but its clean environment. Denmark is one of the greenest countries in the world and a strong advocate towards conserving the environment.
According to the latest UNWTO World Tourism Barometer, the demand for international tourism in Europe has been increased by a strong 5% in year 2013. Denmark is always one of the most popular destinations to visit in Europe. If you wish to plan a FIT or self guided travel to Europe, make sure to spend a few days or more in Copenhagen to appreciate the friendly people and clean environment of the city. Beautiful area of the world! When you visit there, I would suggest a fantastic fish restaurant called Restaurant Havfruen. Everything we tried was fresh. Lobster, lobster bisque, mussels. And the ambience is perfect, relaxed and warm. The prices aren’t that bad either.
