Travel by photos – A day in LEGOLAND Malaysia

The first LEGOLAND in Asia, LEGOLAND® Malaysia, is set to open for public on 15th September 2012. Travel Feeder, being a reputable travel blog in the region 🙂 , has the honour to visit the park prior to its grand opening last Saturday to preview the 6th Legoland in the world in full operation. This is my preview report with images taken within the park.

Before stepping into the park, let me share some information regarding LEGOLAND. LEGOLAND® Malaysia is the sixth LEGOLAND to be built in the world and the very first in Asia. Targeted at families with children between the ages of two to twelve years old, LEGOLAND Parks are based on the universally popular LEGO® construction toy product. They offer families the opportunity to bond, learn and push the boundaries of their imaginations through LEGO experiences. At LEGOLAND, families can practice their imagination and creativity, have fun while learning, and understand the importance of caring and quality. Families will be immersed in a unique mix of kid-powered rides, building challenges, spectacular LEGO models, interactive attractions, family-friendly coasters and shows that pull the audience into the action. LEGOLAND Malaysia features more than 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions. Other LEGOLAND theme parks across the world are situated in Denmark, United Kingdom, Germany and USA with California and Florida locations. There are LEGOLAND Hotels in Denmark and the UK; with a hotel scheduled to open in California in 2013.

As part of the media friends being invited by Legoland Malaysia to preview the park on last Saturday, Jean and I together with our children decided to have some fun while still no public is allowed in there. Less crowd meant we had more chances to experience most, if not all, of the rides and games featured in Legoand Malaysia.

As always, many photos were taken within the park and being shared here for those of you who wish to have a glimp on the inside of the park before planning for a family trip there.

Ticket_counter

Last Saturday, 1st September, 2 weeks before the park being open to public, was also the date for annual pass redemption. We reached there at about 2pm and there were already full of people queuing up in front of the ticket counter.

At about 8 PM, we ended our day of fun in Legoland Malaysia. It was a day with full of fun and excitement for my family especially my children who loved it so much and even cried for more. A great experience visiting LEGOLAND Malaysia… if only we had more time around. We crawled back to our EG hotel in Kempas town with heavy feet and called it a wonderful family day out! 🙂

Updated: LEGOLAND Hotel is now open and it would be the best accommodation option if you want to enjoy your trip to Legoland to the fullest. Don’t miss their buffet breakfast and dinner which are simply marvellous!

What’s my verdict?

Environment: Good √ √ √ √
Features to explore: Good √ √ √ √
Photographic opportunities: Good √ √ √ √
Accessability: Good √ √ √ √
Worthiness of visit: Good √ √ √ √
Overall Travel Score : 80% (Very Good)

Verdict: Combining lots of attractions and features to explore and photographic opportunities within the park, Legoland is surely a paradise for both children and parents. Elderly may find staying in the park for hours under the hot sun is too hot to their liking, but looking at how your grand children enjoying all those rides and games, every penny is surely well spent! The only drawback I could think of is you need a lot of energy and time to explore it to the fullest! 🙂 – Travel Feeder, your ultimate travel photo blog
