Travel Photos – Laundry Clothes Lines in Venice
Further to my starting posts on how to lower your budget in Italy travel, and things to prepare for your Italy travel, I”m continuing my stories on Italy travel by showing these photos taken in Italy. These are a few of my many details shots capturing some unique city features of Venice, the first Italian city that I visited last Spring.
What you could see from the above photo? Rods? Ropes? Cables?
What about now? You could see that it is actually ropes being attached to walls, crisscrossing each others in straight lines. But what is it for? No more guessing. They are actually laundry clotheslines which we could hardly see them around other countries.
A special feature that could be seen in Venice home back gardens, laundry clothes lines are still being used by locals to hang dry their laundry. You won’t be able to see all these distracting scenes when you walk around the Venice alleys as they are hiding at the back gardens. You could only see them when you stay in the local apartment like what I did.
Photo Travel tips: Sometimes and in some occasions, I love to change camera lenses to capture subjects with different effects. In this case I used my Nikkor 35mm f1.8 prime lens to create a shallow Depth of Field effect in the first 2 photos above, while I captured the overall scene with my Tamron SP10-24mm Ultra Wide Angle lens. A contrasty but interesting combination which I like. – Travel Feeder, your ultimate photo travel blog
