Rustic Charm
The city is neither large nor overwhelming and sets a perfectly rustic atmosphere which would be great for a couple seeking a relaxed and romantic break. So where do you begin in this quaint, charming city? Obviously, it’s not a trip to Pisa without visiting the renowned Leaning Tower of Pisa. For a small price, you’re able to walk up the sloping tower and enjoy the beautiful views of Pisa. The square below is perfect for a light lunch afterwards as well.

One of the best ways to soak up this romantic culture is to take a romantic walk through one of the many parks, or piazzas. The Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a stunning part of the city and is home to such monuments as the Leaning Tower and Duomo di Pisa, the cathedral. At night when the lights are on, the place absolutely comes to life, generating a memorable atmosphere that really emanates something so special, that it’s hard not to be romantic about Pisa. Another notable location is Piazza dei Cavalieri, a smaller square that features a number of archaic buildings depicting an artistic flair made popular during the Italian Renaissance.
