My Xian and Luoyang travel in China started
Greeting from luoyang! I’m now on my way to Shaolin temple, an hour and a half journey from Luoyang. This would be our final destination in and around Luoyang before heading back to Xian.
Jean and I reached Luoyang a couple of days ago and we really enjoyed it especially it’s foods. Luoyang is a beautiful city once the capital for a number of ancient empires.
There are 4 iconic features that can best represent Luoyang. The first and foremost is no other than Longmen Grottoes. It is one of the two most significant grottoes sites featuring Buddhist carving in China. One the the UNESCO Heritage sites found in China, Longmen Grottoes as seen from my travel snapshot above is one of the two travel attractions that brought me here, besides the terra cotta army of Qin in Xi’an.
The other three iconic features include peony flowers that blooms only 20 days a year in April, Luoyang Watery cuisine and the Luoyang ceramic art.
This wrapped up my first post of Luoyang travel. Enjoy reading and keep watching this travel photo blog for more exciting travel snapshots and stories from me. – Travel Feeder
