Would you go all out for the Airasia FREE SEATS 2015 which not actually free?
Do you feel like grabbing the deal? Airasia has just opened flights booking for the second half of year 2015 last Sunday! As usual, the booking started with the highly sought after Free Seats sale for all Airasia domestic as well as international flights, and free seats are also offered to Airasia-X long haul flights.
This Airasia Free Seats 2015 sale started since last Sunday midnight, 10th November 2014, and will end by this Sunday midnight, 16th November 2014. Booking is for flights departing in between 10th June 2015 until 17th January 2016, roughly spanning through a 6 months period. No exemption, fares are not available during embargo period and airport and duty taxes are still payable.
As expected, flight tickets are selling like a hot cake since last Sunday midnight, especially for flights during holidays seasons such as school holidays in June, September and December. Also popular seasons are Festive holidays during Hari Raya Puasa in July and Christmas and New Years in December.
That said, one fact we all should be aware of, before flocking around the sale, is that Airasia Free Seats are not actually free. Even though many (not actually all) flights are offered zero (0) basic fare, we still need to pay for other fees such as airport tax, GST, petrol charges and others, which in actual fact constitute the major chunk of your air ticket price! Additionally, we need to fork out more money for all other services, some are mandatory, such as checked-in baggage, on board meals and travel insurances.
Eventually, the basic air fares which are offered free now could save you only a small amount of money, maybe a hundred Ringgit or two, looking at how far in advance (we are talking about at least 7 month lead time) we need to decide our flights and vacations!
Is it worth all your sleepless hours spent for going all out to grab these offers which could only save you a little but lose all the flexibility in holiday planning?
Don’t get me wrong either. I’m not against Air Asia at all. Instead, I love Air Asia very very much. I spent most of my travels with them for most of the places I’ve been to, including my impeccable Europe trips. Air Asia is by far the best low cost carrier in the world with its no-frill pricing (you paid what you need) and excellent services (some may argue that I’m wrong but trust me, most other low cost airlines are a lot worse). After all, until today, Air Asia all inclusive standard air fares, without free seats promotion, are still among the cheapest.
Like I always said, as long as you have fixed your vacations for next year, by all means, go all out to grab these opportunities of the Airasia free seats 2015 promotion! You won’t get it cheaper.
Another advantage of booking your flights now and travel 12 months later is, you can split your yearly travel budget! Sounds encouraging?
