Winter is coming to Europe! If you are planning for an Europe travel these coming few months, be prepared for a chilly weather in most parts of Europe.

Europe is best to explore by staying outdoor. Whether it is architecture or nature, sightseeing or pubs hopping, there are endless outdoor activities Europe has to offer. Outdoor activities enjoyed  by Europe travelers include backpacking, bicycling, camping, hiking, mountaineering, photography, adventure park, skiing, shopping and even pub crawling. To prepare for staying out during winter in Europe, travelers should get ready some of the essential outfits as below.

  1. Jacket – Winter in Europe is cold and snowy. An parka jacket for the men and stylish trench coat for the ladies is what we need to protect us from the chilly weather. On top of the outer jacket, some of us may need long johns underneath.  I personally prefer the baffled-styled lightweight knee-length Nylon winter parka with 700-fill goose down filled insulation. Boots – There are many factors to consider when choosing the right pair of boots. Whether you’re hiking the Jungfraujoch glacier in Switzerland or wandering streets after streets covered with snows in London, you don’t want an ill-fitting foot wear to ruin your precious travel moment. Depends which outdoor activities you are planning for, at least 2 pairs of boots you may require.

Daypacks –  Compact, lightweight, water resistant fabric with padded laptop or iPad compartment, durable, and water resistant zippers, daypack is an important piece of outfit for exploring outdoor. While it is not to pack everything like a rucksack, daypack is great to fit in your iPad, notebook, travel guide, bottle of water, a city map or even an umbrella for rainy days.

Personal assistant tools – Whether it is a traditional compass or a digital navigation device, exploring outdoor Europe with one of the navigation tools could save you from much hassle when searching for directions. Imagine when everything outside is covered by snow including signboard and landmarks, what you could rely on to find your destinations is be checking through Google Maps and compasses. Especially for wandering thick snow covered streets and mountaineering and elderly, walking poles could be an useful tools for outdoor activities to prevent falling. Flashlight for staying out at night must be inside your daypack.
  5. Personal care products and towel – Moisturizer, lip balms and the likes have to be kept with you all the time being outdoor. Bringing along a towel could be handy when you need to wipe off snows, dry your hair and body, and even your camera and lenses after staying outdoor for a long period of time.
