Summer Travel Experience To Bali – Day 3
After a full whole day-out on Day 2, we chose to trigger our lazy mood on 3rd day in Bali. Though it was still ended up as an activities packed day like day 2. The only difference was we spent our whole day exploring Kuta but not beyond. As the busiest town in Bali, Kuta is inevitably a must-go tourist site in Bali, at least 1 full day for the first timer (In fact 1 day is not quite enough, for me).
Ok! What did we do in Kuta? As for Day 2, we had again our wonderful breakfast in Kuta Seaview Cottage. After that, we had a slow walk along Kuta beach, admiring the attractive view along the beach, this included the picturistic scenery of the long, straight beach and also those beautiful young surfers and sexy ladies doing sun-bathing. The weather in the morning was cloudy but still plenty of sunshine. As it was end of May when the weather in Bali starting to change from rainy and stuffy to sunshine and cool. Travel Tips of the day: Plan you holiday to Bali during June to August only for a clear sky without rain and breezing weather.
Then we engaged a massage sifu for a full body traditional Bali massage session at our cottage pool side, which is marvellous! Our body have got a really good charge.
While we were still charged and refreshed, we headed down to explore Kuta! Kuta town area is stretched from the Ngurag Rai Airport to Legian with Pantai Kuta the hub for tourism and commercial area. By walking, we managed to cover half of Kuta ‘back lane’, through Jalan Gang Poppies to Jalan Legian (where the year 2002 bombing tragedy took place) then Jalan Pantai Kuta and back to Hardrock.
Along those streets, you would be seeing all kinds of tourists shops selling all kinds of local souvenir like wood carving, pictures, arts, clothing, massage shops, tattoo, bars and restaurant and also money changers (we changed some Rupiah at Rp2700 per RM here which was reasonable). We bought some table linen here which was extremely cheap and there were shops selling Gelato also!
It was already 4:00pm and we still haven’t got the time to take lunch! He he, just joking, we took lots of junk foods along the way like ‘Goreng Pisang’, Rojak, noodles and Gelato! And we were going to have our tea time in one of the local cafe – Rainbow Cafe (I did recommend this shop in my earlier post, 2 plates of fried rice plus a large bottle of beer that cost us only Rp39,000!! or RM14.00). We watched our time very carefully as we must see the sunset today! We could not miss anymore as this is our last evening here in Bali!. So, by 5:30pm, an hour before the sun set, we were lying on the beach. There were huge crowd of people as you can see from my photo. Finally we saw the sunset though it was not the perfect scene that I would prefer as there was shades of cloud over it! I took lots of sunset photos and this one below is my favorite…. 🙂
We were not stopping here. We took a bath and went shopping (Again?) at Matahari Departmental Store. What should we grab for souvenirs to our friends and family? The best I could think of was local light foods or snacks! So, our shopping bag was full with prawn crackers, banana crackers, Dodol durian, local coffee powder and local peanuts! I thought that was enough. We slowly crawled back with our tiring foot and had our last-night-in-Bali ‘rendezvous’ dinner at the Ocean Beach Club, Jalan Pantai Kuta. What’s next? ‘HardRock again?’ ‘Nope. No more Thursday Ladies Night!’ ‘What time shall we check out tomorrow?’ ‘Better sleep earlier..’ ‘Yeah…’ ‘zzzzzzzz..z..z.zz….z..’ 🙂 – Travel Feeder.
p/s: Again, forgive me on the misleading photos’ date and time which was not set correctly. 🙁

wow! I didn’t know that Bali looks pretty too! I have not been to Indonesia before, and I think I should, since it’s our neighbour, so near!! The beach is photogenic!
