Happy Break-Fasting Festival to all Muslims!
Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri! Today is the first celebration day for the end of Ramadhan or fasting month to all muslim in Malaysia, or the Break-Fasting Festival. It is the biggest festive in Islamic calendar among muslims, similar to Chinese New Year for Buddhists or Christmas Day for Christians. The first 2 days of Aidilfitri are declared as the national holidays in Malaysia.
Starting from today until the end of Raya celebrations that last for a week normally, you can spot roadside street stalls selling lemang and ketupat everywhere in Malaysia.
I’m traveling up North to Ipoh this morning to spend my long weekend off there. Until I get back on this Sunday, I would like to wish fellow muslim friends a Happy Break-fasting Festival or Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri! 🙂 Meanwhile for non-muslims, you may read all the stories of my travel to London while waiting for my latest updates on London travel.
