Let us pray for the missing MAS flight MH370
This is the most shocking news that I heard since I first started blogging travel on this travel blog about 6 years ago. A Malaysia Airlines (MAS) MH370 flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing has lost contact with Subang Air Traffic Control and gone missing since 2.40 AM local Malaysian time, this morning. The missing MAS flight was carrying a total number of 239 passengers including 2 infants and 12 crew members.
The MAS Boeing 777-200 aircraft departed Kuala Lumpur at 12.41am this morning and was expected to touch down Beijing airport at 6.30am local time on the same day. However, it went missing in Vietnam controlled air space without any party able to trace after just 2 hours. Malaysian, Vietnamese and Chinese authorities have activated their Search and Rescue team to locate the aircraft.
Family members of Flight MH370 passengers rushed to KLIA of Kuala Lumpur and Beijing airport as they anxiously wait for more news about the incident.
ASTRO Awani channel is providing live updates of the situation on this page: http://english.astroawani.com/.

Meanwhile, the public may contact +603 7884 1234 for more information.
If the plane is found to have crashed, the loss would mark the second fatal accident involving a Boeing 777 in less than a year, after an unblemished safety record since the jet entered service in 1995. Last summer, an Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 crash landed in San Francisco, killing three passengers. The 777 has not had a fatal crash in its 20 year history until the Asiana crash in San Francisco in July 2013.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all affected passengers and crew and their family members,” Malaysia Airlines CEO Ahmad Jauhari Yahya said in a statement..
